I can also try to download the OSX lion update and see if the wireless driver gets better. I've seen photos of windows 7 ships with the update and it was all green and there was no problem. I can't even upgrade to 10.6.7 as I'm stuck on 10.6.6. I'll try to upgrade to 10.7.4 and see if it helps. If I do have to wipe everything and redo I'll wipe out 10.6.6 and upgrade to 10.7.4. From what I can tell 10.6.6 is the most stable OSX OS.
I would also like to know if it's possible to install a bootable OSX and Windows 7 onto the same machine without using a partition. I don't have a boot partition, so I'm not clear on how this can be done. I can get Windows 7 to recognize my 2nd drive, but not my 1st. I can get OSX to recognize the 1st drive but not the 2nd. Perhaps I could just run a VMWare inside OSX and have the 1st drive as a bootable windows 7 system and the 2nd as the OSX installation?
When I've got more time to dedicate I'll help you to get the driver installation working on your machine. If you find a solution on your own and don't bother to post it, then I'll give you a big thumbs up.
As for your problems I don't see them. My wireless works fine and I didn't install anything while the installation was running. It comes up as a new device after bootcamp install, sometimes it will connect for a few minutes and other times it will not connect at all. I can associate, deliver IP etc... but it will not stay connected for long enough to use the internet. Then I'll see it drop and try to reconnect and sometimes that works, but sometimes it doesn't. This seems to be a driver issue, or a problem with the bootcamp driver and the win 7 driver. I have a windows 7 x64 computer and an osx 10.6.5 x86. I'm pretty sure its not an access point issue.
Edit: I also tried the legacy driver for windows 7. It didn't work either. It's doing the same thing as the b43-fwcutter one. It detects the card properly, but then before it even gets a chance to initialize it, it drops the connection. 827ec27edc
